Customize the Quick Access Toolbar

If there’s a command you love to use, you don’t have to go through menus every time you need it. Instead, you can take advantage of the Quick Access Toolbar. Found at the top of PowerPoint, this handy feature contains various commands that are always available, and you can customize it however you want.

Check out the video below to learn how to customize the Quick Access Toolbar.

Steps

  1. Locate the Quick Access Toolbar at the top of the PowerPoint window.
  2. Click on the arrow to the right of the toolbar to open the Customization menu.
  3. Select the Open command from the menu to add it to the toolbar.
  4. To add a command directly from the ribbon, navigate to the desired tab (for example, Insert).
  5. Right-click on the command you wish to add (for example, Pictures) and select Add to Quick Access Toolbar.
  6. To remove a command from the toolbar, right-click on it and select Remove from Quick Access Toolbar.

Taking the time to customize the toolbar will make your frequently used commands more accessible.
